Sandhill Shores
Galveston Island, Texas
Sandhill Shores is a wonderful small beachfront community with unique luxury homes built behind the best sand dunes on the West End of Galveston Island. Our neighborhood association rebuilt our dunes after they were flattened by Hurricane Ike in 2008 and have watched them grow ever since.

Sandhill Shores was developed by Homer Verner in 1999, and is governed by the Sandhill Shores Restrictions, Covenants and Conditions. As provided for in the Restrictions, the Sandhill Shores Property Owners Association was organized in 2004 to promote the health, safety and welfare of the residents of the subdivision and to perform those functions required to properly manage the affairs of the subdivision. It is a Texas nonprofit corporation governed by a Board of Directors. Along with the Restrictions, the Association is governed by its Bylaws, both of which can be found on this web site as well as various policies and procedures of the Association. Our common areas are managed by the homeowners who volunteer their time and whose efforts have resulted in a beautiful entry and landscaping.

Sspoa has partnered with the Parks Board and Galveston City to remove excessive seaweed from the beach. The level of severe seaweed inundation has been agreed and the city will remove the seaweed with the board sapproval.
